January 17, 2012

Good morning fellow sledders. She's a cold one out there today. This morning at 7:30am, my thermometer read -38C!!  On the other hand, we have received over 8" of snow in the last couple of days!! Some of our trail has been signed. The groomer has been out grooming. Later I will update with specifics. Have a nice day! :)

January 6, 2012

Good day one and all!! Welcome to the 2012 sledding year! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I live in the Green Water Lake / Marean Lake area and this morning I woke up to 4-5 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Due to the lack of snow, our trails are not yet signed or groomed. I will keep you all up to date and in the loop!

March 28, 2011

With the warmer weather, it looks like the snowmobiling season is coming to an end, so we started pulling signs today. The trails are still driveable, but stay on the trails as open water has been spotted in places.

February 18, 2011

In the last two days, we have received approximately 8 inches of snow. The trails are being groomed as I write this. We are making final preparations for our annual snowmobile rally, held on February 19th, at the Archerwill Centennial Hall. Breakfast starts at 9 a.m. Reggie starts at 11 a.m. Free hotdogs, hot chocolate and coffee at the warm-up shelter; come back for supper and awards!! Hope to see YOU there!!

February 9, 2011

For all you trail riding junkies out there, you will be happy to know signing of all trails is completed, and all trails have been groomed! Enjoy!

January 22, 2011

Trail 201 C, from Archerwill to Rose Valley was signed and groomed today. The trail from Archerwill to Barrier Lake is also signed and groomed. Trail 201 A, going west of Archerwill to Naicam trail and around back to Barrier Lake on 201 B, was groomed on January 21st. Happy sledding!

January 13, 2011

As of today, trail 201 A has been groomed and partially signed. Trail 201 C has been groomed. We are presently working on signing and grooming the rest of our trail system. Water conditions have hinderd our progress.

January 3, 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New years! We, as well as other clubs, got a late start on marking and grooming trails this year, due to an overabundance of rain, snow and warm weather.

We are presently working on our trails. Nothing is signed at this time, but all trails have seen traffic. We hope to have the trails signed and groomed by mid-January.

The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority has a thin Ice advisory. Please, be cautious. If you don't know, don't go. For more information, click on this link for the Saskatchewan Watershed Authorities website. http://www.swa.ca/

March 16, 2010

Hello there fellow snowmobilers. I am sad to say that the sledding season is coming to a grinding hault.. and fast! We have picked all of our signs and closed gates and fences, so our trails are officially closed for this year. Time to pull out the quads!. Don't forget, our quad rally & Cabaret is just around the corner! April 24th, at the Archerwill Centennial Hall. Hope to see you there

February 19, 2010

Rally Day TOMORROW!..Trails were groomed on the 18th, signing is pretty much done. We have lots of snow, lots of prizes and an awsome menu lined up for supper. The radio tells me its going to be a beautiful day on the 20th ~ -9 with scattered flurries. Hope to see you tomorrow at the Archerwill Centennial Hall!

February 6, 2010

The groomer has been fixed and is making trail as I write this. Our volunteers are also hard at work signing the trails. *BE ADVISED* there is open water on Marean Lake and also on the Red Deer River. Please stay on the trail for your own safety!!!

February 3, 2010

We received approximately 6 cm of snowfall in the last 24 hours. So far, we have 18 km of groomed and signed trails. Trail conditions are fair. Watch out for open water in places on the lakes and river. Our groomer is still down for the count with electrical and hydraulic problems.

January 31, 2010

Unfortunately our groomer is down for a few days with a few minor problems. Our trails are not completely groomed or signed, yet I have noticed that there is quite a bit of traffic on the trails. Please be careful out there. Also, don't forget to join us and the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles for lunch tomorrow at the Archerwill Centennial Hall. Please see the HOME PAGE for more details. Happy sleddin'!

January 27, 2010

As I understand it, our groomer is making the first loop on our trails today and tomorrow WITHOUT THE DRAG to break trail and to create a base. Due to the large amount of snow we received, I am certain you sledders are raring to hit the trails, but please, be patient. When our trails are ready for traffic, I will post it here.

January 24, 2010

Today we received 20 inches (30 cm) of the white fluffy stuff! We will be having a meeting in the next couple of days so we can get organized and get the trails marked and groomed so we can open our trails!
